read the marvellous story about the neotropical frog genus Agalychnis:
the word "Agalychnis" is the name of a neotropical nocturnal frog genus. It is a composition of the two Greek words "aga" (= plenty of) and "lychnos" (= shining). Indeed do these frogs shine at night, because some species like for example Agalychnis callidryas have bright red eyes, orange fingers and toes and a blue and yellowish vertical pattern on their flanks. Moreover, this certain species` name "callidryas" is also a Greek translation and "kallos" means "nice", whereas "Dryas" is derived from a Greek tree nymph's name. - wonderful - isn't it?
Have a look at these frogs, which definitely belong to the most beautiful amphibians in the whole world!
